Mit fertig gekaufter, mit selbst angemachter aus Sand und Binder und Marmormehl, mit Mörtel, den ich mit Binder und Wasser verdünnt hatte. Das erste Bild, das in dieser Technik entstand war „RUNEN“. Hier habe ich mit dunklen Erdtönen gearbeitet und mir viel Mühe mit einer ausgedachten, ‚antiken‘ Schrift gegeben. Der opulente Gebrauch von Spachtelmasse verlangte aber meiner Meinung nach Metalltönen: Gold, Silber und Bronze und plötzlich fing ich an, frei zu assoziieren. Schätze, Runen, Artefakte, Aztekengold, Bronzeschild, Opferstein, Keilschrift, Grabraub, Atlantis… Ja und dann habe ich einfach ein Bild nach dem anderen gemalt. Was man sieht ist zerstört und zerbrochen aber es leuchtet an vielen Stellen immer noch kostbar und macht Lust, nach Details zu suchen. So findet man Spiegelglasstücke, eine Muschel und Goldstäbe aber auch viele kleine, organische Formen in der aufgetragenen Struktur. Die Farbe variiert über Gold nach Silber, gebrochen durch ein dunkles, fast schon schwarzes Grau das an manchen Stellen auch ins Grünliche geht.
