===New "Star" guest in the Pfännerhall===<br />

Today the taxidermist of the “Kulturstiftung Schloss Friedenstein Gotha” installed a prepared sea eagle in the newly designed exhibition of the Pfännerhall Braunsbedra. This means that only a few steps are missing until the reopening of the adventure exhibition on the banks of the Geiseltalsee near the A 38 exit Merseburg Süd. The reopening is planned for June 4, 2021 with a press conference.<br />

Since February the members of the Association for Experimental Archeology and Research Chemnitz e.V. have been working on the redesign of the old forest elephant exhibition. Many square meters of wall surface had to be painted to give the impression of a Pleistocene lake landscape around 300,000 years ago.<br />
<br />
With the support of the Kulturstiftung Schloss Friedenstein Gotha and the Pfännerhall construction team, a completely new diorama was created around the forest elephant from the Geiseltal lake / Braunsbedra. The taxidermist Peter Mildner had draped the magnificent animal on a rhizome today to showcase it together with the elephant. Master painter Günter Eckart from Schneeberg applied the last brushstrokes in order to set the scenery in the right color.<br />

A lot is going to happen in the Pfännerhall until Friday, June 4th, 2021, because tomorrow the Prime Minister of Saxony-Anhalt will visit the new special show with his colleague and Chancellor candidate Armin Laschet. In addition, more showcases and picture installations will be prepared before the exhibition will reopen next Friday after the press conference in the afternoon.<br />
